來自蘇格蘭愛丁堡的三兄弟傑米(Jamie)、伊旺(Ewan)與拉克蘭(Lachlan Maclean),於當地時間8月30日成功完成太平洋無支援划船挑戰。他們從祕魯出發,歷經近140天,橫渡超過9,000英里(約14,484公里),最終抵達澳洲東部城市凱恩斯(Cairns),以 139天5小時52分 創下新的世界紀錄。

挑戰過程中,三兄弟面臨多次險境。7月間的一場36小時暴風中,27歲的拉克蘭一度遭大浪捲入海中,幸好身體繫有安全繩,最終被哥哥伊旺及時拉回船上。之後,一場氣旋迫使他們放棄原本計劃登陸布里斯本,改道繞行新喀里多尼亞群島,讓航程延誤數日。

近日,巴西的甲烷(Methan)氣體排放量在 2020 至 2023 年間增加了 6 %,並在2024年達到2110萬噸,創下該國有史以來第2高的紀錄,引發國際關注。
巴西擁有全球第2高的牛隻數量,是全球最大的牛肉出口國,在牛肉供應鏈中扮演關鍵角色,且目前是世界第5大甲烷排放國,僅次於中國、美國、印度、俄羅斯。
根據巴西氣候觀測所 (Climate Observatory) 發布的研究指出,2023年巴西約75%的甲烷氣體排放量來自畜牧業牛隻,總計高達1450萬噸,相當於4.06億噸二氧化碳當量,甚至多過2023年義大利全國的溫室氣體排放量總和。

永續農業轉型!墨西哥酪梨產業推「零森林砍伐」政策
8月27日,「墨西哥酪梨出口商協會」(APEAM)與「墨西哥哈斯酪梨進口商協會」(MHAIA)發布公告,自2026年1月起,凡種植於非法砍伐森林土地上的酪梨,將不符合出口資格。
根據新政策指出,自2025年起砍伐的森林土地不得用於出口酪梨;於2018年至2024年間開發的農地,若種植者能針對「生態系統服務」進行補償,仍有機會保留出口資格。目前已有85%的現有酪梨農園符合新標準,得以持續出口。
這項政策是「永續發展之路」計劃的一部份,旨在平衡產業發展、善用水資源、保護生物多樣性,以及在 2035 年實現零森林砍伐目標。

台北捷運公司與近畿日本鐵道公司在去年簽訂友好協定,在屆滿一週年之際,近鐵從今天起在大阪推出與北捷聯名彩繪列車。國人到大阪旅遊時,可以在近鐵的車站,搭乘有著濃濃台灣味,介紹台北著名景點與美食的彩繪列車。
三重電視放送今天報導,近鐵昨天在大阪舉行紀念與北捷締結友好協定一週年的彩繪電車發表會。名為「一起去台北吧!列車」的電車車身上繪有台北竹子湖的海芋、台北知名觀光景點西門紅樓等,以及芒果刨冰、小籠包和糖葫蘆等受歡迎的台灣美食插圖。
近鐵集團控股社長若井敬表示:「打造出充滿台灣魅力的繽紛列車。希望大家能搭乘,親身感受台灣的魅力。」現場還舉辦了二胡演奏,在彩繪列車內販售台灣點心與雜貨等。「一起去台北吧!列車」自今天(9月1日)起,行駛於大阪上本町站至五十鈴川站之間。

又有行動電源釀禍。日本新聞網(NNN)報導,根據東京消防廳收到的消息,今日上午8時(台灣時間上午7時)過後,原定抵達JR東京上野站的一列新幹線車廂內,一個行動電源因不明原因起火,造成1人受輕傷。
共同社報導事發於上越新幹線車列車。當時行駛於大宮―上野之間的列車內一名50多歲男性的手提行李箱內的行動電源冒煙。男子想用衣服蓋住行動電源滅火,右手手指因被灼傷。所幸火勢未在車內延燒開來。東京消防廳出動了消防車等一共3輛車,相關單位正在調查詳細事發經過。有部分車次因此誤點。

日本北海道一家商務飯店昨天傳出一起客房火警,還出動消防隊。起因是一名住客發現充電的行動電源出現發燙膨脹現象,於是把它放進客房冰箱冷卻,不久冰箱開始冒煙,濃煙竄出客房,飯店急忙報警,所幸僅行動電源燒熔,未釀成大禍。
根據朝日電視、北海道新聞UHB、北海道STV新聞等媒體報導,事故發生在留萌市開運町一家商務飯店。昨上午 7 時 過後左右,飯店通報2樓走廊有白煙。消防人員到場時,煙霧已逐漸消散,無需灑水處理,僅確認房內一個行動電源部分燒熔。
40多歲男性住客表示,他在房間內為行動電源充電時,發現電池膨脹變燙,於是將電池放入冰箱降溫。數分鐘後,冰箱內傳出「砰」的聲音,他嚇得打開冰箱,頓時整個房間都是煙。其他住客發現後通報飯店人員。
