美國航空又出包了！轄下子公司一架飛機周二（1日）從北卡羅萊納州飛抵喬治亞州降落後，機艙冒出焦味與大量煙霧，機型並無緊急逃生梯設計，乘客只能跳下機翼疏散。所幸全機68名乘客與機組員沒有傷亡。令人擔心的是，隔天同航線另一架航機也出了狀況。

綜合美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）、美國廣播公司第7台（ABC 7）、航空資訊網站Simple Flying周二報導，由美國航空（American Airlines）AA 5406號航班由子公司PSA航空（PSA Airlines）號營運，美東時間周二（1日）上午由北卡羅萊納州夏洛特（Charlotte）飛往喬治亞州奧古斯塔（Augusta），航程36分鐘，機型為龐巴迪CRJ-900（Bombardier CRJ900）。航機在上午9時降落後停在跑道上，因接獲機組員通報機艙冒煙，全機人員緊急疏散。

從機翼跳下疏散

根據乘客奧康諾（Sean O’Conor）拍攝影片顯示，前艙乘客取道樓機下機，中後段乘客則陸續鑽出靠近機翼的逃生門，走道機翼末端往下跳到跑道，「機艙裡都是煙，我們從機翼爬出來，看起來大家都平安無事」。消防車也到場待命。

The log-periodic dipole array typical VSWR is 2:1 and operates over a much wider bandwidth and will have a lower gain for an equivalent number of elements.
With this level of performance, it is ideal for many applications, although a log-periodic antenna will be much larger than a Yagi of an equivalent gain.
